City are struggling in Division Two; their beloved neighbours United are top of their Champions' League group. Last week United beat Brondby 6-2 in Europe; the night before City lost to Lincoln in the league.

Already this season, in all competitions, City have drawn with Wrexham, Notts County, Chesterfield, Northampton, Millwall and Burnley. And lost to Fulham, Preston, Lincoln and Reading.

Their supporters call Lee Bradbury, their £3.5m signing, Lee Badbuy. They chant things like "we're so **** it's unbelievable", but still they turn up in their thousands, week in, week out, to support a team that makes their lives thoroughly miserable.
