Keep track of Tony "Papy Boum-Boum" Cascarino's progress in France by visiting his club Nancy's website. (Papy Boum-Boum appears to be his nick-name amongst Nancy supporters - we asked a fluent French speaker to translate this for us and the best they could come up with was "Grandpa Boom Boom", which we liked, a lot).

His eight goals so far this season, for the newly promoted club, have already made him a living legend in Nancy circles - visit the club's "discussion forum" and you will see confirmation of this. We particularly liked Dale's contribution, which read: "Je sais que Tony Cascarino mens de son age, en fait il as 21 ans. Il n'as jamais joue en Angleterre, c'est son frere qui as joue pour Chelsea, mais il etait merde." (Translator? "I know that TC lies about his age, in fact he is 21 - he has never played in England, it was his brother who played for Chelsea, but he was ****".)

Also spotted on the messageboard was a tribute from Anto - "Tony Cascarino est Dieu - agree vous?" Does this mean we were not the board's first Irish visitors . . . or was Tony himself there before us?
