Republic of Ireland 1998 Under-18 European Championship-winning team. (Republic Of Ireland 1 Germany 1; Ireland won 4-3 in a penalty shootout)
Alex O'Reilly (West Ham): Now the Republic's first choice under-21 goalkeeper. London-born O'Reilly is on the West Ham youth team.
Thomas Heary (Huddersfield): Yet to make an appearance for the Huddersfield first team this season, after making eight in the last two.
Richard Dunne (Everton): The centre-half has played in Everton's last three games, after missing the start of the season through injury. Walter Smith once tried to sign him for Rangers, so his appointment as manager of Everton during the summer was good news for the former Home Farm player. Agreed to a new four-year contract at Goodison Park last month.
Jason Gavin (Middlesbrough): Dunne's central defensive partner in under-18 final has yet to make the breakthrough in to Middlesbrough's first team - a youth team regular at the Riverside.
Keith Doyle (St Patrick's Athletic): The only home-based player in July's winning-team, Doyle is a first team regular with St Pat's, who are currently second in the Premier League.
Ger Crossley (Celtic): The Belfast-born midfielder is still waiting for his first team chance this season but was on the bench for Celtic's European game in Switzerland midweek and for yesterday's 6-1 win over Dundee United at Parkhead.
Barry Quinn (Coventry): The captain of July's winning team, and manager Brian Kerr's player of the tournament, made his Coventry first team debut at Old Trafford in September and held his place for another four games.
Stephen McPhail (Leeds): George Graham was about to send the club's 1997 Young Player Of The Year out on loan, before he left for Spurs -David O'Leary took over and the Home Farm old boy has been a first team regular ever since.
Richie Partridge (Liverpool): Last season's Junior Player Of The Year at Anfield remains in the Liverpool youth team.
Liam George (Luton): A bright start to the season for Robbie Keane's attacking partner in Cyprus, when he made seven first team appearances, was shattered in September when he broke his leg and suffered ligament damage in a game against Wigan - he is expected to be out for the season.
Robbie Keane (Wolves): Has had a quiet enough season so far, apart from scoring eight goals in 15 games for Wolves, a few for the Republic's senior team and being the subject of constant multi-million-pound transfer speculation. Things might pick up though. Out of action at the moment after injuring himself kneeling on a television remote control.
Subs: Alan Quinn (Sheffield Wednesday): The midfielder, who scored Ireland's goal against Germany in the under-18 final (before it went to penalties), has made one appearance for the first team at Hillsborough this season.
Paul Donnolly (Leeds): Currently in the Leeds under-19 team. Known as `Smoothy' at Elland Road - if we find out why we'll let you know.
Ryan Casey (Swansea): Made four first team appearances for the Division Three side earlier this season but injury has hampered the progress of the former Belvedere Boys player since.
