Swimming: Tennessee-based Andrew Bree had entered this weekend's Irish Long-course National Championships at Abbotstown but will not be competing.
Instead, the current European short-course silver medallist will remain in the US in pursuit of an 'A' qualifying mark for the Athens Olympics.
This means that Michael Williamson of Lisburn, who recently attained the 'A' time for the 200 metres breaststroke at the British Olympic trials, will go virtually unchallenged for the title at Abbotstown.
Ulster swimmer Emma Robinson is not expected to be pushed in the 100 and 200 metres breaststroke after achieving the Olympic 'A' qualifying time.
Much of the focus over the three days will centre on the performances of Julie Douglas, Lee Kelleher, Muiris Ó Riada and Donal O'Neill. All of whom are still in search of 'A' standard Olympic qualifying times.
Heats and finals are listed for 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, today and tomorrow with the heats having a 9.30 a.m. start on Sunday and finals at 3 p.m.
