Celtic League / 'A' Interprovincial Leinster v Ulster (Navan, 7.0): As a contest it'll be a hugely worthwhile exercise at a superbly appointed venue. Leinster coach Michael Cheika and his Ulster counterpart, Mark McCall, will view this as an opportunity to evaluate promising young players in a competitive environment and allow fringe players to edge closer to the senior match squad.
From an Ulster perspective there will be great interest in the competitive bow of New Zealand-born Irish passport holder and scrumhalf Isaac Boss who arrived this week and the return after injury of Australian prop Rod Moore. They possess a cracking back row in Chris Henry, Oisín Hennessy and Stephen Ferris.
Leinster have called upon the experienced Emmett Byrne while in captain Simon Crawford and Niall Ronan they possess two of the most talented young athletes in Irish rugby. Cameron Jowitt, a New Zealander who arrived to play with Lansdowne, is included at flanker.
The half-back pairing of Brian O'Riordan and Eoghan Hickey play their football at UCD while Gary Brown and James Norton will be looking to prove a few points. Ross McCarron is a promising young footballer.
There's plenty of quality on show and those looking for a little glimpse into the future both short term and long could do worse than toddle along to Navan tonight.
