St Eunan's 0-8 Naomh Conaill 1-5: Favourites St Eunan's had to be content with a draw after a low-scoring Donegal senior final in MacCumhaill Park yesterday.

The Letterkenny men took the lead two minutes into added-time but Brendan McDyre, from a free, gave Naomh Conaill - appearing in their first final in 40 years - a second chance.

The youthful Naomh Conaill, with nine players under 21 years of age, started well and led at the break by 1-3 to 0-1, the goal coming from Leon Thompson on 12 minutes.

St Eunan's came good in the second half with Brendan Devenney hitting three points. They were still a point adrift with four minutes of normal time remaining but Devenney got them level. John Haran pointed to put them in front.

Naomh Conaill lived to fight another day, however, as McDyre converted his free with style. The sides now have to return to MacCumhaill Park next Sunday.
