A few weeks ago, TikTok turned on a new feature: profile view history. This allows you to see who has viewed your profile in the past 30 days. But there’s a catch: you can only see the views of people who have turned on profile view history in their settings, so to see who is peeking at your account, you’ll have to reveal your own viewing habits too.
That might not sit too well with you, depending on who you are following — or viewing — on TikTok.
There are also other limitations; the feature is only open to someone over the age of 16 and with fewer than 5,000 followers.
The good news is that profile views is turned off by default, so you haven’t secretly been letting people know that you are watching their updates.

If you want to turn it on, go to Profile at the bottom right hand corner of the app. Tap the three lines to get the menu options up, then go to Settings and Privacy>Privacy and scroll down to Profile Views, where you can turn on profile view history using the toggle switch. And if you change your mind, you can turn the profile views off there too.
There could be more to come though. TikTok is testing a feature that allows you to see which of your followers have viewed posts, something that will bring it more in line with Instagram Stories.
