Aer Lingus plans to spend €25 million on a transatlantic business class service that it will launch next March.

The service will be available on all seven of its Airbus A330 on time for its 2015 summer schedule.

It will include a new business lounge at John F Kennedy airport, a new pre-dine service at both the New York hub and Boston airport and a new arrivals lounge in Dublin.

Announcing details of the service at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin, yesterday, Aer Lingus chief executive Christoph Mueller said the airline's long-haul business has been growing at record levels over the last two years.
