Ryanair passenger traffic rose by 25 per cent in January to 7.48 million, new figures show.

For the same month a year earlier the airline carried 5.98 million customers.

Rolling annual traffic to January grew 17 per cent to 102.9 million.

Load factor - a measure of how full the flights are - rose 5 per cent on an annual basis from 83 per cent to 88 per cent.
