A man (20s) who was travelling on an electric motorbike is in a critical condition in hospital in Limerick after a serious road traffic incident.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the injured man on the Kilmallock Road (Old Cork Road) in Limerick city on Monday evening. The incident occurred at about 7.10pm.
The man was removed to University Hospital Limerick. He has since been transferred to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The scene of the incident on the Kilmallock Road remains preserved this morning for a technical examination. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users or pedestrians who were in the area between 7.00pm and 7.30pm and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available.
