TEXTILEWORKSHOPDUBLIN.COM has launched a series of one-day sewing skills courses with its “basic sewing machine skills” taking place this Saturday. You get to make bunting, which is a cheap way to add atmosphere to outdoor parties.

Organiser and art teacher Rebecca Devaney (086-086 9178) says it’s “phenomenally easy to make”. The day course costs €85. The first Bargain Hunter reader to call gets a free place. The course takes place in the Pearce Museum in Rathfarnham.
