Renault has released details of its new facelifted Laguna, which made its first appearance at the Amsterdam Motor Show last week.
As part of the car's mid-life facelift, exterior styling, interior design, engine range and cabin quality have all been revamped. The most noticeable differences include a shorter bonnet, wider headlights, deeper grille and new tail lights.
A new performance model has also been added. The 202 bhp Laguna GT 205 is powered by a new 2-litre turbo petrol engine. It has a lowered sports chassis and is available as a hatchback or sport tourer. The claimed top speed is 235 km/h with a 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seconds.
Customers can choose between an uprated 1.6-litre petrol engine, up from 110 to 115 bhp, and the 135bhp 2-litre. The 123bhp 1.8-litre petrol has been dropped. There's also a turbo version of the same engine uprated to 170bhp. Diesel options range from an updated 1.9-litre with 95bhp to the 150bhp 2.2 dCi.
