A 19 year old man has fled to London after escaping an attack on his flat near Grosvenor Road in west Belfast. Mr Kevin McGeown jumped from a first floor window of the flat in Arundel Walk on Sunday night after three masked men broke through the front door.
Mr McGeown's sister yesterday blamed the IRA for the attack and denied claims by local residents that her brother was involved in drug dealing, she said that her brother, "like most young people in the area", had taken soft drugs, such as cannabis, but had never been a dealer.
She claimed that the family had been intimidated and terrorised for months by the IRA. An older brother and a friend had been beaten up in front of her parents in July and her father had died of a heart attack the following day.
