PSNI arrests man for attacking 31 parked cars in Belfast

Suspect (32) held after vehicles have wing mirrors and numberplates smashed

Police in north Belfast have arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of damaging dozens of cars early this morni ng.

He was detained after members of the public reported a man damaging cars in the Ballygomartin Road area at about 6am.

A PSNI spokeswoman said it is believe at least 31 vehicles had their wing mirrors kicked off or their number plates broken, or both.

The man is being held on suspicion of criminal damage, she added.
