PRAGUE - The Czech President, Mr Vaclav Havel, said yesterday he expected a new minority government to be sworn in next week as a deal between the right wing coalition of the outgoing prime minister, Mr Vaclav Klaus, and the opposition Social Democrats gradually falls into place.

Under an outline agreement brokered by President Havel, the Social Democrats would support a minority government led by Mr Klaus in return for key parliamentary positions.
