Gardai have named the teenager who died in Co Clare last night.

Roman Vysochan (16), who was from the Ukraine, was found lying on the ground with a chest wound shortly after 11pm at Carrigh Midhe, Westbury.

A second youth, aged 16 years who was injured in the same incident was removed to Limerick University Hospital with a stab wound. He remains in hospital but his injury is not believed to be life threatening.

Shortly before 8 am today a 16-year-old boy was arrested in relation to the incident.

He is being detained at Mayorstone Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
