A man has died after the car in which he was travelling left the road and hit a tree in Co Limerick this morning.
The incident occurred at about 4am south of Adare village on the N21 Limerick to Tralee road.
The 21-year-old sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic diversions are in place in the area as the scene is being preserved to allow for a forensic examination.
