Three members of the Donegal backroom team are understood to have withdrawn from the county football management team according to Highland Radio.

Jim McGuinness's assistant Rory Gallagher and video analyst Maxi Curran have stepped down due to work and family commitments, while Francie Friel will not be part of the set-up in 2014.

McGuinness recently agreed to take charge of the 2012 All-Ireland champions for a fourth year and will now have to make a number of key appointments to his backroom team.

Donegal County Board are expected to confirm the departures later today.
