Kildare beat Laois to take All-Ireland Junior Camogie final

Kildare 2-11 Laois 1-5: Kildare had a a commanding victory over Laois to claim the All-Ireland junior title at Croke Park.

They landed points from player-of-the-match Siobhán Hurley and 18-year-old Melissa Lyons inside two minutes. Susie O'Carroll, Róisín O'Connell and Hurley (free) added to their tally and it was the 24th minute before Laois got off the mark through a Louise Mahony free.

Kildare weren’t making the most of their possession but went in at the break leading by just 0-6 to 0-2.

In the 32th minute Laois substitute Grace O'Neill struck for a goal. Kildare responded with Susie O'Carroll hitting two goals in a minute. The first came after good work from O'Connell and Lyons, and the second, saw the full forward drilling a low shot beyond Laura Dunne. Hurley and Lyons added points to seal the victory.
