Munster hurling championship to begin on Easter Sunday

Cork will concede home advantage to Clare due to effects of concert at Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Munster GAA have released details of the upcoming senior hurling championship round robin. It will commence on Easter Sunday, April 17th, with All-Ireland champions Limerick travelling to Cork and Waterford hosting Tipperary.

As previously announced, Cork have conceded home advantage against Clare because of the impact on Páirc Uí Chaoimh of a concert and the match will take place in Thurles on May 1st.

Details of the final matches in the round robin have yet to be announced but they take place on May 22nd at the same time, which has yet to be announced.

This year’s Munster hurling final will be played on June 5th at a venue and time to be confirmed when the finalists are known.

May 8th: Limerick v Tipperary, TUS Gaelic Grounds, 2.0pm

May 15th: Waterford v Cork, Walsh Park, 2.0; Clare v Limerick, Cusack Park, 4.0pm

May 22nd: Tipperary v Cork, FBD Semple Stadium; Clare v Waterford, Cusack Park, time to be confirmed.

June 5th: Munster final, details tbc.
