From Ballina in Co Tipperary, McGeever helped seal a quota spot in the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay, only confirmed following the close of rankings in June based on the best average times going back to 2019. This will be the first ever Irish men's relay swim team at the Olympics, the last being a women's 4x100m freestyle and 4x100m IM back in 1972. The Irish senior record holder in the 400m Freestyle and a 2021 European Championships finalist. Coached by John Szaranek
