Businesses can expect cheaper high-speed Internet access to more locations following an ecommerce agreement concluded by the Minister for Public Enterprise, Ms O'Rourke.

The new agreement with Global Crossing expands the Government's 1999 deal. High-speed Internet costs have been cut and additional links to 40 European centres and to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, Chicago and Boston in the US, Tokyo and Hong Kong have been secured.
