Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is to join the prestigious Science Circle at Trinity College Dublin's Science Gallery, supporting yearly programmes and fostering the development of science in Ireland.

The Science Circle, which includes Google, Dell and Icon, commits to an ongoing philanthropic relationship with the Science Gallery.

"This is a fantastic opportunity to forge stronger links between academia and real- world science application," Science Circle founding director Michael John Gorman said.

Working more closely with academia and third-level graduates is key to advancing pharmaceutical manufacturing in Ireland, Pfizer vice-president Paul Duffy says.
