RECENTLY, WE carried an article about a woman who was charged €60 by British Airways because she wanted to change a Mr to a Ms after she had made a small mistake in the booking process.

Michael Nugent made a similar error when booking a flight with Ryanair not long ago. “When I rang them, a pleasant young man made the change immediately with no charge and sent me an email confirming it. He also said that Ryanair check-in staff had instructions to ignore such minor mistakes.”
