TransAer, the Irish charter airline, said yesterday it had won a $10 million (€9.3 million) contract with French airline AOM. Under the deal, TransAer will fly its Paris-based Airbus A300 plane to various Mediterranean holiday destinations and to other locations, including Abidjan and Dakar in west Africa. The arrangement lasts for one year, and brings the level of contracts announced by the Irish firm since January to $100 million.
The company, which has its headquarters at Dublin airport, employs more than 750 people and has a fleet of 18 Airbus planes.
