Hamilton Osborne King is reporting considerable international interest in the Aghadoe Heights Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry, which will be auctioned tomorrow. A number of wealthy Irish people based in the US and the UK are understood to have looked at the hotel. There has also been strong interest in the five-star hotel from some Munster hoteliers. HOK expects to secure well in excess of £4 million for the 60-bedroom hotel, which overlooks Killarney's lakes and mountains.
Meanwhile, Gunne Property Consultants have secured £870,000 at auction for Kilcoran Lodge Hotel, in Cahir, Co Tipperary. The 23-bedroom hotel was bought by Tom Walsh, formerly of the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise.
