A new £1.25 million forest park is to be provided on almost 50 acres near Galway city. The project, adjacent to the Barna woods, will involve the substantial planting of trees, the provision of scenic walks and the development of four playing pitches for local clubs.
The cost does not include the provision of dressing-rooms and the purchase of the lands.
