An additional £3.2 million funding for the Department of Social Development was confirmed yesterday by the North's Minister for Social Development, Mr Nigel Dodds.
He stressed the extra £2.2 million for housing would help overcome short-term pressures on the North's Housing Executive. A further £1 million of surplus funds was granted for urban regeneration in measures taken by the North's Executive on Tuesday.
