Beijing - Forty-one people were killed when a school collapsed in eastern China yesterday after an explosion, Xinhua news agency reported.
Another 27 people were injured in the collapse of the two-storey building in Wanzai County in China's Jiangxi Province, the agency said. Xinhua said rescuers searching through the rubble had so far recovered 29 bodies, some of them teachers. It did not say whether schoolchildren were among the casualties.
