The renewal of the IRA ceasefire should guarantee that funding under the EU Initiative for Peace and Reconciliation will continue into 1998 and 1999, the Minister for Social Affairs, Mr Ahern, said yesterday. He was announcing EU grant aid of £7.5 million to fund some 220 projects for anti-poverty groups in the current year.
