Paris - Staff at the Arc de Triomphe voted yesterday to extend their strike for another 24 hours, preventing tourists from visiting the popular Parisian attraction for a fourth day.
The 50 or so people who work at the monument, which offers a panoramic view of the French capital, first walked off the job on Saturday, demanding bonuses and the hiring of additional staff. The employees held talks yesterday with representatives of the French Culture Ministry, which operates the monument, but failed to resolve their grievances.
