Glasgow MP Mr George Galloway has been expelled from the British Labour Party over his criticism of the war in Iraq.

He had accused British Prime Minster Mr Tony Blair and US President Mr George Bush of invading the country "like wolves".

The Glasgow Kelvin MP faced British Labour's National Constitutional Committee over charges of bringing the party into disrepute.

Mr Galloway urged British troops not to fight in Iraq and offered support to anti-war candidates standing against Labour in local elections.
