Cape Town - A key player in South Africa's apartheid-era chemical warfare programme said yesterday he had no clear memory of several crucial events, orders or people who gave them.

"I can't remember," was a phrase Dr Philip Mijburg used as he gave evidence to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission investigating crimes committed during more than 40 years of apartheid rule.
