Clare County Council is to spend an estimated £17

Clare County Council is to spend an estimated £17.5 million on a new council headquarters building, members were told at the council's February monthly meeting, writes Gordon Deegan.

Mr Willie Moloney, county manager, told members that after carrying out a full assessment of the overall cost of the project, he intended to finalise the purchase of Our Lady's Hospital from Shannon Development, which is to become the new headquarters.
