THE two forthcoming Irish programmes by Austrian baritone Wolfgang Holzmair (above) - in Dublin at IMMA on Wednesday, at the Belfast Festival this day week, both with pianist Russell Ryan - are all-Schubert affairs. It's decidedly a programme of two halves. The first, Auf Dem Wasser Zu Singen, is a collection of a dozen songs, all somehow water-related. The second, again with a dozen songs, is a selection of Schubert's Goethe settings. Holzmair's previous outings here in Schubert have been the sort of occasions you expect to tell your grandchildren about. Catch him while you can.
