Riyadh - The defence lawyer for two British nurses on trial in Saudi Arabia for the murder of an Australian colleague yesterday argued that her brother was entitled to only half of the settlement sum of 1.24 million Australian dollars. The brother, Frank Gilford, announced earlier the same day in Australia that he was waiving his right under Islamic law to insist on the death penalty for one of the nurses in return for the compensation.
