Strasbourg - The Council of Europe called on the US to stay the execution of Napoleon Beazley, who is due to be put to death in Texas on August 15th.
According to the council, Beazley's case is particularly distressing because he was a minor at the time he committed his crimes. Beazley was charged with a car-hijacking murder in the town of Tyler in 1994 when he was 17.
