St Petersburg, Fla - A British couple who were arrested after they left their young children alone in a Florida hotel room plan to sue over the incident, their solicitor said yesterday. Mr Philip Adam and his wife Jill from Yorkshire were arrested on May 30th at the Tradewinds Resort in St Pete Beach after they left their 1-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter asleep in their locked room while they went downstairs to watch fireworks.
The girl woke up, left the room and was found by another guest. He called hotel security who called the St Pete Beach police. The parents were charged with child abuse, a felony, and spent the night in the Pinellas County jail.
