Divers rescued off Co Cork coast

Two divers who got into difficulties off the coast of Co Cork were last night rescued by a lifeboat.

Two divers who got into difficulties off the coast of Co Cork were last night rescued by a lifeboat.

The RNLI at Courtmacsherry was called to the scene off The Old Head of Kinsale at around 8.35pm.

The diving boat had developed mechanical difficulties while two divers were in the water.

The Kinsale RNLI lifeboat and the coastguard helicopter from Waterford were also called to the scene.

Both of the divers were unharmed, and their boat was towed into Kinsale.
