O'Connell Street in Dublin between Cathal Brugha Street and Abbey Street will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight to through traffic to facilitate the erection of a "technical village" and associated equipment for the Tour de France.
The street will remain closed until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Southbound traffic will be diverted east and west along Parnell St, Gardiner St and Capel St. Access to Lower O'Connell St will be permitted from Bachelors Walk to Abbey St only.
Access to Upper O'Connell St will be from Parnell St to Cathal Brugha St only.
The Phoenix Park will be closed to vehicular traffic between 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 p.m. on Sunday.
No parking will be allowed on the race route from 6 p.m. tomorrow to 7 p.m. on Saturday. A number of pedestrian bridges have been erected around the city. A "park and ride" facility will be available at five locations around Dublin on Saturday and Sunday.
There will be no parking on the Stage One route from 6 p.m. on Saturday until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Iarnrod Eireann advised yesterday that Tara Street Station will be closed all day Saturday until 7 p.m. and the best station for access to vantage points will be Pearse Street.
