STUDENTS from USI yesterday commenced a camp-out outside the Department of Education's offices in Marlborough Street, Dublin, to protest at the Department's failure to respond to the union's demand document, issued earlier this year.

November 9th had been set as the deadline for responses to the issues of housing, grants, student funding and student representation. USI deputy president Noeleen Hartigan says the students will continue their vigil until the Department responds. The union has been promised a response, she says.
