Dhaka - The Bangladesh authorities confirmed for the first time yesterday that the feminist writer, Taslima Nasreen, is in Dhaka, where her presence has sparked demonstrations by Muslim fundamentalists.
"Writer Taslima Nasreen has returned home along with her ailing mother and the case should be considered from an humanitarian angle," the Foreign Minister, Mr Abdus Samad Azad, said according to the Janakantha daily.
