Five people were taken to the Mater Hospital last night with minor gunshot wounds following a shooting at a pub in Finglas. Gardai said a man wearing a dark-coloured track suit walked into Gleeson's pub in Main Street, at 10.20 p.m. and fired a number of shots. The area was sealed off.
Gardai and two ambulances from the fire brigade were at the scene. Gardai were unable to say if the gunman had tried to target any of the people in the pub. It had reopened last week and was previously called the Tara Tavern, according to local gardai. Prior to that it was know as the Bottom of the Hill.
