Police investigating the murder of a Belfast father of six last year have released four people who were being questioned.

The three men and a woman were released without charge last night, a police spokesman said.

They were being questioned about the killing of Danny McGurk who was gunned down in front of his children in west Belfast last August.

The murder of Mr McGurk (35) from the Lower Falls area of the city was blamed on dissident republican paramilitaries. McGurk was shot five times as he answered the door at his home at Ross Road
