The GAA must hold immediate talks with people living close to Croke Park following complaints about the growing number of matches being played there on Saturdays, the Labour Senator, Mr Joe Costello, has said.

The Saturday games were "a source of real frustration". Residents this weekend would have to put up with fixtures on Saturday and Sunday. "The GAA cannot ignore its neighbours, there is an urgent need for the association to sit down face to face with the residents and resolve a number of outstanding issues."

Despite promises to improve traffic arrangements around Croke Park, match goers were still parking their cars on residential streets, while post-match street cleaning was still inadequate.
