Gardaí have staged a reconstruction of last weekend's bus crash in Dublin city centre in which five people were killed.
The site of the accident, Wellington Quay, as well as the adjoining quays were sealed off for a number of hours while investigators tried to establish what led to the crash.
Three Irish women, an Irish man and a Ukrainian died when an out of service bus passed another on the inside and mounted a kerb before slamming into a group of passengers queuing to board the stationary bus.
This morning's reconstruction, which began shortly after 7 a.m., used identical buses to those involved in the crash.
Investigators said they wanted to obtain information on the technical aspects of the crash such as the speed the out-of-service bus was travelling when it mounted the pavement.
Yesterday buses in Dublin displayed black ribbons as a mark of respect to five people killed in the crash.
The entire Dublin Bus fleet was decked out with the ribbons tied to their wing mirrors.
The tribute was paid as the funeral of the last victim took place. Mother of four Kathleen Gilton (69) was buried after a funeral mass in Maynooth yesterday morning.
