London - The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey, suggested yesterday that the Catholic Church might mark the millennium by greater generosity in occasionally admitting Anglicans to Communion, writes Robert Nowell.

Dr Carey, who is making a three-day visit to Luxembourg, noted in a sermon in the principality's Catholic cathedral that in the Anglican tradition baptised full members of other churches were occasionally invited to receive eucharistic hospitality.
