Greencore CEO to step down in March

Greencore CEO David Dilger will leave the firm at the end of March next year, the Dublin-based company said today.

Greencore CEO David Dilger will leave the firm at the end of March next year, the Dublin-based company said today.

Mr Dilger, who has been 12 years in the job, will be succeeded on March 31st by finance director Patrick Coveney.

Mr Dilger said this was an ideal time to step down, as Greencore "has never been in better shape".

Ned Sullivan, Greencore chairman, paid tribute to Mr Dilger's leadership, saying he had turned Greencore into one of Europe's leading convenience foods producers.
