Those implementing the Northern Ireland Agreement "must resist the old idea that majority rule is a sufficient expression of democracy," said the Green Party spokesman on Northern Ireland, Mr Trevor Sargent TD. "Majority rule must give way to consensus decision-making where all views are proportionately part of final decisions," he told the attendance at yesterday's Dublin 1798 commemoration.
