The Prince of Wales is likely to be in pain for another six weeks after fracturing a rib in a hunting accident, a doctor said yesterday.

Mr Charles Court-Brown, an orthopaedic surgeon at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, said that although a rib fracture normally heals very well, it is painful for six to eight weeks. Nothing could be done to help the healing process except to "grin and bear it."
